Apicectomía o implante: Reporte de un caso clínico.

Abstract

Se reporta un caso clínico de un paciente al que se le realizó apicectomía en un premolar superior, presumiblemente por una endodoncia realizada en forma inadecuada y tener un perno colado donde la extracción del mismo correría el riesgo de la fractura dentaria. Fracasado dicho tratamiento se realiza un implante inmediato a la exodoncia, donde  se colocó relleno óseo autólogo y xenoinjerto con membrana de colágeno reabsorbible. De esto se deduce que la faz diagnóstica es muy importante. Después de 4 meses  se realiza la carga funcional del implante con una corona cerámica cementada. Uno de los factores que influyeron en los resultados positivos de este caso, es la superficie ultramicrotexturada del implante que se usó, además de ser considerados estadísticamente los premolares de tener la tabla ósea vestibular de mayor espesor que el sector anterior.
